Arriving in Fairbanks!

It has been a while since I have blogged.  Finally getting back to documenting my life in Alaska.

These first few pictures are just after my arrival on October 19th.  There was a little snow around.
The skies were mostly clear, and the temperature was not too cold.

I then took trip to North Pole, Alaska.  A 20 mile drive from Fairbanks.  As you can guess, Santa has a home in North Pole.

It being late October, the big guy was not in his chair.

You can try to see if you name is on his list.

There was a little more snow this day, and it was a little colder.

The snow and frost was soon collecting on the trees.  It was really beautiful.  Unfortunately the shorter days do not allow for lots of picture taking.

 I did get a few.

 Until next time.  Stay warm.

Trip to Fairbanks, Montana to Bellingham, WA

Day 3 found us in Montana and heading toward Washington.  Actually I would have to look at the receipts to see where we started our morning.  It was over a month ago, and it has been a busy month.  Anyway we had to get to Bellingham, WA.  That is where Briana, my niece, Colleen's daughter lives.
Our trip took us into Idaho.

Somewhere out here in eastern Washington is a town called George.  I find that humorous.  I wanted to live at 1st President Ave. George, Washington.   Maybe on another adventure.

That is the Columbia Rive behind me.

This is outside of Bellingham, and my niece's place.  It was beautiful.

Unfortunately much of the time in Seattle was in traffic.  It was not worth taking pictures.  I got the car to the port for shipping.   The next day it was to the airport.   Fairbanks here I come.
